MY STORY

Hello !  I am Jim Duell of Perry, NY and I am an avid photographer that has many 35mm camera's and lenses all being Minolta products. I spend my extra time that I have taking lots and lots of pictures. I average around 5000 pictures a year of Landscape Photography along with Fair's & Festivals Photography and spent over 34 years shooting Fire Photography. I have been a Volunteer Fireman since 1971 and started shortly after that taking pictures at alarms and local functions. I also enjoy sitting by the railroad tracks and waiting for trains. I have taken many, many pictures of the restruction of the old Erie Railroad Depot in Hornell.

SPENDING A DAY AT THE LAKE

On a very nice and sunny day Carol and I will spend the day at Canandaigua Lake at Kershaw Park on the north end of the lake. I love just sitting by the water and taking pictures of the boats and sunsets along with the blue water. Speaking of the lakes, We enjoy going to the Ports of Rochester and Oswego for their Harborfest and Tall Ships along with each owns Lighthouse. Carol Loves Lighthouses.

MY PICTURES

Now coming up to the month of May of 2005 it is getting time to get out all my camera's and accessories to begain checking them out for a busy summer. Adding to my camera list is a new Konica Minolta 7D Digital SLR Camera with a 28 - 100mm Auto Focus Lens. I got 2 new compact flash cards to use with this camera only. This will give me about 2800 pictures using the standard resulation and standard 1504 X 1000.  I have been using the camera in different picture sizes to see what sizes looks the best and fits nicely on my web pages. Taking a lot of pictures of sunsets, balloons, tall ships and family pictures. My first set of pictures that I took was in Hornell at the Erie Railroad Depot on Loder Street. I was hoping that a train would pass through but, it didn't.  So, If you see someone sitting behind the new Eckard Store on my new Maroon  Dodge Dakota tailgate, its just me waiting for a train to pass thru. Soon I Won't Be Able To Hear The Horn As It Passes Thru Hornell. Just Like Taking The Horn Out Of Hornell !!!
