FINALLY, A NEW LOOK IS IN THE FORECAST FOR THE ERIE DEPOT IN HORNELL, NY FOR 2002
At the present time work is being started on a restoration project of the Hornell Depot on Loader Street. I was through there a week ago but, it was too dark for a picture of the restoration so far. This page will have new pictures of the new project as its happening. I go to Hornell often just for great railroad pictures of trains passing through the city. I will keep everyone informed with the new photos. Keep Checking!!


OLD ERIE RAILROAD DEPOT IN HORNELL,NY
This is a pretty discusing looking building. Its about time it is getting some TLC like it should of had years ago.

This is the West End Of The Erie Depot In Hornell. NY.
A SIGHT FOR SORE EYES
This is a pretty bad looking depot. Plans are in the works for a new facelift to the whole building.
New Street Lights Were Installed In 2002.
Brand new street lights were installed on Loader Street in Hornell next to the Erie Depot as a big restoration begains.

Looking in the baggage room of the depot, looks like a lot of work to be done.
Another Room At The Depot For Repairs
This big room could be the old ticket office where I once 40 years ago purchased a ticket to Conneaut Lake, PA.
BRICKLAYERS AT WORK ON THE EAST END
Two Masons begain there job on replacing old bricks with new bricks through out the depot.
NEW DRIP EDGE HAS BEEN ADDED
A new white drip edge has been added to the west end where the HORNELL sign was. Hopefully, the sign will go back up soon.
NEW SOFFETS FIXED
Parts of the existing soffets are being replaced with new material for part of a new look.
LOOKING TRACKSIDE AT THE VANDELISM AT THE DEPOT
Its to bad with the City Police a Block away that all of this vandelism has to happen. Must be somebody is really bored and needs now to clean the paint off that they put on. If Located!
PLUGS FROM NEW LIGHTS GIVE ERIE THE POWER
Each new lamp has a plug on them to give extra power on the outside if needed.
NEW SOFFETS AND TRIM PIECES ADDED
New Tongue And Groove Boards Are Added Along With New Trim Along The Trackside Edge Of The Depot.
NEW BRICK ADDED THROUGH THE DEPOT
Bricklayers have been busy doing a lot of brickwork around the depot on Loader Street.

A Alstrom Sign Has Been Placed At The East End Of The Erie Depot In Hornell.
